Cole's Knuckle Knife with Scabbard is in EXCELLENT CONDITION. This knife came from the collection of Bobby James of Alabama. Bobby James was a good friend of Howard Cole and helped Cole in his later years. James is now in a Nursing home in California. A friend of both Cole and James sold off his collection for his wife. He stated that he remembered Bobby James telling him that he had gotten the knife from Cole many years back. This is an unusual configuration for a Cole knife with a 9 3/4" double edge blade from a Pattern 1888 Mark I Lee Metford bayonet. The 8 point knuckle bow is probably one left over from his post war knives. The handle is leather washers with brown spacers at each end. The knuckle bow is pinned to the tang like he did the majority of his knives. This knife includes a leather scabbard that was made for this knife. Both the knife and sheath are unmarked. I believe this knife was made in the mid 90's time frame when he stopped making knives. This is considered a fairly RARE piece.

Please note: ALL items are NEW IN THE BOX, IN STOCK, and CURRENT PRODUCTION unless otherwise noted.
